Pittsburg, CA. Demographics:
Asian 13.9% |
It’s a city whose residents are as diverse as any in the
San Francisco-Oakland Bay Area with the same
problems as its sister cities (Antioch, Brentwood, & Oakley) of the
area. New residents buying the
newly constructed homes are adding to one jam packed commute in and out freeway coupled with the designation as the fastest growing area in California. Yet, it is a
great city to bring up a family, relocate or start a new business depending on the type and location. |

Pittsburg, A Bustling Metropolis? Whoa Baby. Our little town is growing up. For better or worse, you ask? I say better. A city must be able to provide services for its citizenry. Otherwise, Pittsburg residents will take their disposable income somewhere else, like Concord or Antioch.
Pittsburg needed a hotel to house guests, and accommodates parties, weddings, conventions, and local get-togethers that our citizens will be proud to patronize. The call has been answered. The Hilton Hotels brand stepped up to the plate with the Hampton Inn Suites braking ground last in early November. The 96 room hotel will bring a luxurious look to the California Street address. The next cross street is Loveridge. It will house a conference area that seat up to 120 people. A spa and swimming pool will be available as parts of the lure as the hotel is due to open in the summer of 2006.
We needed more of a variety of restaurants for a growing populace. Say no more, the new Outback Steakhouse and Chili’s is open and located next to Circuit City on Century Boulevard. Old Town Pittsburg has passed the planning stages and is due to put the downtown area on the map. And more importantly, invite residents and guest to visits it shops, bank, and additional restaurants. More details plans are on the table. Make the marina a place of interest, you say? The City Council thought you would never ask. The area will become a major point of interest to residents and visitors with a Bed and Breakfast planned along with more restaurants, small shops amid a quaint environment built to entice. Yeah…it seems like 2007 will continue to see little bitty Pittsburg busting loose. Say what!
-Pittsburgs' Arnold Watch-
This area is dedicated to Arnold Schwarzenegger. We are very interested in what he will or will not do for the citizens of California, especially those issues affecting Pittsburg.
Arnold was sworn in for a second term and spoke of politicians, along with himself moving to the center in lieu of left (the liberal side of town) or right (hear talk radio to get their ideas of a perfect America). He says he is going to govern from the center. Sure...stay tuned. For your lending needs click onto the QFI logo.
-Pittsburgs' City Council Watch- Its January 2007 and and as noted above, the city is booming with new construction and plans for more of the same. It took awhile but Pittsburg suddenly and rightly so that it could not remain a sleepy little family town without other revenue (besides it property tax base). Squeezed by Concord and Antioch and having seen West Pittsburg break off and become Bay Point, the City Council, City Manager, etc., etc., and all concern are moving in the right direction. The idea is to balance the two, small/large business and new residents along with new infrastructure to support the current and new Pittsburg. Goooooooooooooo ......Pittsburg! Stay tuned for other news and moves made by the City Council.
